The American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) is hosting its second Summer School in Economics in August for academics and post-doctorate researchers.
The conference-style sessions take place from Aug. 8-11.
The event was created by the Balkanski-Panitza Institute for Advanced Study (BPIAS), an international non-profit organization. Dr. Andrey Gurov, AUBG professor of finance, and Simona Zlatkova, president of the Economics Club at AUBG, organized this year's session.
Last year’s edition focused on applying scientific concepts to real life and was a great success.
“I am greatly thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the summer school," Daniela Georgieva, assistant professor, IBS, said in a press release. "It was very useful for me, and I am convinced that it will help me in my future professional and personal development.”
This year's session offers a chance for students to learn from internationally known lecturers and to network for chances to enhance professional and personal development.
To apply, submit a resume, motivational letter and a research statement. A fee of $547.78 allows access to all lectures and activities and also covers accommodations and meals. Scholarships are available to some candidates.
