Burgas Airport is gearing up for a busy summer season in 2025, offering over 70 routes across more than 20 countries. The airport, known as "The Sunniest Airport on the Black Sea," will open its season on March 30 with the arrival of a Ryanair flight from Krakow, Poland.
Ryanair plans to expand its presence at Burgas with ten routes for the summer. These include flights from Krakow, Warsaw Modlin (Poland), and London Luton (UK) starting in March; Vienna (Austria) in May; and Dublin (Ireland), Budapest (Hungary), Bratislava (Slovakia), Poznan, Gdansk (Poland), and Kaunas (Lithuania) beginning in June.
Wizz Air will resume flights to six major European destinations in June, including Vienna, Budapest, Gdansk, Katowice, Lublin, and Warsaw. Bulgaria Air will increase domestic flights between Sofia and Burgas to daily frequencies by July.
Austrian Airlines will launch a new route from Vienna with three weekly flights starting mid-June. Discover Airlines will operate flights between Frankfurt and Burgas from early May and add Munich in July. Eurowings plans to resume services from Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Cologne, Hamburg in June and Salzburg in July.
Jet2.com is expanding its UK base operations at Burgas by reintroducing the Edinburgh route after a hiatus since 2022. easyJet's summer schedule includes new routes from Manchester followed by London Gatwick and Berlin later in June.
Norwegian will introduce scheduled flights from Riga to Burgas while continuing existing routes from Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Trondheim, and Bergen.
The charter flight program at Burgas begins early May with arrivals from Poland among other countries. German charters operated by Electra Airways start on May 16 connecting seven German airports with SunExpress' collaboration contributing significantly to increased traffic compared to last year.
