The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) recently
launched Made in Romania, a new initiative that will identify and guide 15
emerging, innovative Romanian companies chosen based on their potential to
promote overall growth in the country’s economy.
“By launching Made in Romania we want to
put the future stars of the Romanian economy in the spotlight as well as we
want to help them grow and offer them unique opportunities for development,” BVB Board President Lucian Anghel said in a press release. “This is a first project of this sort ever
launched in Romania that (aims) to offer companies top-quality trainings and
mentorship, and we are proud to have prepared it together with the top partners
in the market – Banca Transilvania Group, Google, Mazars and NN Group.”
The program has already identified 50
companies on a shortlist of participants, which will be whittled down to 15
companies to be announced on March 23. Between April and November, those
companies will receive guidance in the form of trainings, workshops and
networking and business development opportunities that will facilitate their
success and growth.
"Made in Romania: BVB League is an
original concept which together with the growth story of the Romanian stock
market, with the AeRO platform, the vast campaign for financial education and
comprehensive developments aimed at modernization of the investments ecosystem,
marks the new face of Romania," BVB CEO Ludwik Sobolewski said.
