Eurobank Group will hold its second Beyond Hackathon
competition in Athens from March 17-19.
Eurobank Srbija is bringing five
Serbian contestants to compete for the cash prices of $2,146.91, $3,220.80 and $5,368.00.
“As a socially responsible bank, Eurobank supports the development of
entrepreneurship and shows that it has recognized the importance of innovation
in the financial sector which will transform banking products and services
through digital technology,”
Miloš Pavlović, Eurobank's head of IT, said in a press release. “Beyond Hackathon competition is a good opportunity for IT experts from
Serbia to present their innovative proposals that can change the future of
digital banking. We will be glad if this year’s winner comes from our country.”
The competition is open to individual IT
experts and startup companies that were founded after 2012. At the
competition, they will be challenge to come up with an innovative idea that
addresses challenges in the Eurobank sectors designated by the organizers. The
teams then have three days to develop their solutions, which they display at
the end of the competition.
The event is organized in part to search
out talented individuals who can help improve and develop products and services
for Eurobank.
