Three members of the
Piraeus Bank board of directors
have resigned.
Apostolos Tamvakakis, first vice chairman; Stavros Lekkakos, second vice chairman; and Charoula Apalagaki, authorized executive director, have all left their posts.
Tamvakakis helped the group during a difficult financial time in Greece. He stepped down to pursue new business ventures.
Lekkakos served 25 years with Piraeus Bank in senior management roles. He resigned to spend more time in his role as chairman of the board for MIG.
Apalagaki served as legal counsel for 14 years for the group and also spent time last year as an interim chairperson. She resigned to take on a new job as secretary general in the Hellenic Bank Association.
The bank board plans to fill the open positions soon.
