Euroins Insurance Group recently released
its sales figures for January, which reveal a nearly 47 percent growth in
premiums
to $27.59 million from $18.81 million in January of last year.
This large growth was due primarily to a
significant growth in premiums in the group’s automotive holding AVTO UNION, which
had a total of 446 passenger vehicle and light commercial vehicle policies.
This is a 187.7 percent increase on January 2016’s figure of 155 units. The company attributes the significant sales growth to large deals with corporate
customers.
Espace Auto, which deals with Renault and Dacia, realized the
majority of the sales, with 327 units. Auto Italia, which handles Alfa Romeo,
Fiat, Lancia and Maserati, trailed with 39 units, followed by Star Motors,
which handles Mazda, with 38 units; Bulvaria, which handles Opel and Chevrolet,
with 28 units; and N Auto Sofia, which handles Nissan, with 14 units.
Euroins Bulgaria boasted a 19.6 percent
growth compared to the figures from January 2016, while Euroins Romania saw
growth of more than 51.2 percent, both through increases in motor third-party
liability insurance. Euroins Macedonia had a premium growth figure similar to
January 2016, while Euroins Ukraine’s growth in premiums hit $877,517.50.
