Thanks to an Addiko Bank donation of approximately $8,100, officially
presented late last month by bank director and spokesperson Sanela Pasic, First
Primary School Ilidza will now be able to install 347 book cabinets in its
building.
"We are happy that this project is implemented,” School Director Arif Celovic said, expressing gratitude for the contribution. Celovic said 200 cabinets will be designated for hallway use and 147 cabinets for
classroom use.
“Addiko Bank has enabled the children who attend the first
elementary school to relieve (themselves of) overweight school bags and stay
healthy, and we know how important it is, especially for children (of) elementary-school
age,"
Celovic
said. “It was a pleasure today (to) host director Pasic and
her colleagues from the bank."
Pasic and her team toured the school to see student activities
first-hand during the school’s annual New Year Bazaar. The school enrolls over
700 students.
"We could not choose a better day to visit the school,”
Pasic said, thanking the staff. “New Year Bazaar is really well organized.”
The Addiko Bank’s donations are “a reflection of
our efforts to promote socially responsible actions of companies in the communities
in which they operate,” Pasic said. Pasic also complimented the faculty’s practical use of the
funding.
