The international tourism forum "Erlebe Bulgarien / Experience Bulgaria" is set to return for its second edition from June 11 to 15, 2025, at the Golden Sands resort. The main conference will be held on June 12. This year's event moves to the Northern Black Sea coast and is hosted by Grifid Hotels, following a successful inaugural edition in 2024 that highlighted Bulgaria's Southern Black Sea region.
The forum is expected to attract nearly 200 professionals from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, including tour operators, travel agencies, airline representatives, journalists, and industry organizations. Organized by Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD with support from the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria and various partners such as fvw|TravelTalk and Grifid Hotels, the event aims to foster partnerships within the tourism sector.
Electra Airways will serve as the official air carrier in collaboration with SunExpress. The program includes a conference, workshops, B2B meetings, and tours along the Northern Black Sea coast. Key topics include sustainable development and best practices in public-private cooperation.
Dr. Frank Quante of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD expressed ambitions for this year's event: “This year, we want to take the event to the next level... Thank you to all the partners involved and to the team of Fraport Twin Star!”
Ivan Groshev of the Association of Incoming Agencies in Bulgaria noted high interest from German-speaking markets: “It is very gratifying that such high-caliber experts... are participating in the 'Erlebe Bulgarien' event.”
Klaus Hildebrandt from fvw|TravelTalk commented on Bulgaria's growth in bookings: “Bulgaria has seen strong growth in bookings this year in Germany... This event should help ensure that not only this summer season is a success but that tourism from German-speaking countries continues to grow.”
The initiative seeks broad media coverage through fvw Media Group channels across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It forms part of efforts by Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD and partners to promote Bulgaria as a competitive travel destination.
