Vojvodjanska Banka, in cooperation with Gallery of Matica srpska, recently opened an exhibition titled “Responsibly in Culture” at the National Bank of Serbia.

The exhibit features a selection of 33 paintings from some of Serbia’s most influential 20th century artists.

“Experts from the Gallery contributed greatly and made many efforts so that the rich collection of Serbian fine arts possessed by Vojvodjanska Banka could be processed and presented to the public,” Zorica Džida, Vojvodjanska banka’s head of corporate social responsibility, said in a press release. “I would like to thank them, because today with their support we are exhibiting 33 paintings, while simultaneously we are processing and valorising the remaining 600 pieces that comprise the collection.”

The exhibition will be on display in the National Bank of Serbia’s exhibition area until May 12, available to the to view for free 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. When it closes at the National Bank, it will begin a traveling exhibition titled “Caravan of Paintings” in which it will go to several cities throughout the region.

“Together with its partners from the Gallery of Matica srpska, Vojvodjanska Banka will continue on preserving true values,” Džida said. “People in galleries are not just looking at paintings and pieces. Here they find out and learn about their national heritage, culture and tradition. Because of this, (supporting the) cultural life of Serbia is one of the priorities of our Bank’s corporate-social responsibility.”
