Vojvodjanska Banka, headquartered in Novi Sad, Serbia, is among the finalists for this year’s VIRTUS Award for philanthropy.

The bank was cited in the category of “long-term partnership between business and the nonprofit sector” for a project with the Gallery of Matica. The VIRTUS Awards are sponsored by the Trag Foundation.

The gallery nominated the bank for this project.

Vojvodjanska Banka lent a collection of paintings to the Gallery of Matica Serbian art collection so the gallery could use funds generated from the art show to rebuild the entrance and install lifts for wheelchairs. The exhibit, called “responsible culture,” contained works from 40 artists of the second half of the 20th Century.
The exhibit is part of the bank’s desire to contribute to the greater good of the community it serves.
