Varna Airport has introduced a new charter route connecting Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, with Varna. This marks the first time such a route has been established in the airport’s history. The flights are operated by SkyUp Airlines and commissioned by Bulgarian tour operator Noy Travel.

The service will run every Saturday starting June 7, 2025, following the route: Chisinau (RMO) – Varna (VAR) – Chisinau (RMO).

“In addition to the growth of the traditional tourist market, it is very important to access new markets and new opportunities. We are all excited to welcome the guests from Moldova and wish all the business partners involved success so we can grow this connection in 2026!” said Dr. Frank Quante, CEO of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD.

Larysa Fedun, Head of Charter at SkyUp Airlines, commented on their operational model: “SkyUp operates a hybrid business model that includes both scheduled and charter flights, enabling the airline to respond flexibly to market dynamics and partner needs. In line with this approach, we are actively developing partnerships with leading European tour operators. The new collaboration with Noy Travel marks a significant step forward in strengthening SkyUp’s presence in the European leisure travel market.”

SkyUp Airlines also runs flights from Burgas Airport to Poland, including regular services to Katowice every Thursday and charter flights to Warsaw and Poznan.

This expansion by SkyUp Airlines is expected to foster tourism, business ventures, and cultural exchanges between Bulgaria, Moldova, and Poland.
