Varna Airport has announced its schedule for the Winter 2025/26 season, featuring 16 routes to 11 countries. This winter, three new destinations—Frankfurt in Germany, Bratislava in Slovakia, and Bergamo in Italy—will be available as direct flights from Varna.

The new winter schedule will begin on October 26, 2025. Discover Airlines will launch a new route to Frankfurt, with flights every Thursday and Sunday. As part of the Lufthansa Group, Discover Airlines offers passengers access to many international destinations via Frankfurt.

Wizz Air is adding flights to Bratislava starting November 15, operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with extra Thursday flights in December. The airline also continues service to Bergamo, which started earlier this year and is now included in the winter schedule. Wizz Air will serve a total of 12 destinations from Varna this season. These include London Luton five times per week and other cities such as Berlin, Dortmund, Memmingen, Nuremberg, Hamburg, Hahn, Eindhoven, Brussels Charleroi, and Tel Aviv.

Bulgaria Air maintains daily connections to Sofia. Austrian Airlines and Turkish Airlines are also offering daily services to Vienna and Istanbul respectively. This marks the first time since 2019 that Austrian Airlines has resumed daily flights between Vienna and Varna during the winter months.

Michael Reusch, CEO of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD said: “The new winter schedule demonstrates the sustained interest of airlines in Varna as a year-round destination. The addition of Frankfurt, Bratislava, and Bergamo highlights the market’s potential and reinforces the growing role of Bulgaria’s Black Sea airports in connecting the region to international destinations.”

Varna Airport stated it remains committed to providing quality service for all travelers.
