United Bulgarian Bank issued the following announcement.

KBC Asset Management NV, Belgium and UBB Asset Management, both part of the Belgian financial group KBC, have announced that they are merging. In Bulgaria, the company will be represented by the branch registered here, operating under the name UBB Asset Management.

The legal merger is the next step towards consolidating the business of the Belgian group KBC in Bulgaria. After KBC Asset Management NV, Belgium became the sole owner of the capital of UBB Asset Management AD in 2020, the integration aims to improve the quality and efficiency by further expanding the scope of asset management activities in Bulgaria.

As a result of the legal merger, there will be no changes affecting investors. The company will continue to offer the same products and manage the same funds, while improving their efficiency and positioning. The valuable offer for investors consists of mixed funds, such as multiple assets and specialized local funds, KBC ExpertEase funds, which fit into the comfort zone of clients and funds whose units combine investment and insurance component (SIVEK Global funds). The company will continue to operate through the distribution network of United Bulgarian Bank.

“We at KBC Asset Management, as a market leader, always strive to offer our investors an exceptional level of service and solutions. The legal merger of UBB Asset Management into KBC Asset Management NV, Belgium, will allow us to further increase the added value we offer to our investors through our international expertise, as well as to strengthen our leadership position in Bulgaria. ” said Johan Lema, Chief Executive Officer of KBC Asset Management Group.

Any up-to-date information related to investors will also be published on the corporate website in a special section created for this purpose, and the employees of the UBB Contact Center are ready to answer any inquiries by phone 0700 117 17.
