UNITED BULGARIAN BANK: Fraud attempt by sending an email on behalf of the bank

United Bulgarian Bank issued the following announcement on Aug. 31.

Dear clients,

We would like to inform you that UBB customers have received an email message on behalf of the bank that requires a client account update. The message invites you to click on a link and enter personal data such as name, phone, email, number, validity, CVV card code and more.

If you have received this message, we ask you to delete it immediately without following the link and without entering any data. If you have entered information, please contact the UBB Contact Center at 0700 11717, short number * 7171 or via the feedback form on the bank’s website.

We would like to remind you that UBB does not send e-mail messages to its clients requesting them to provide personal data, passwords, card number, card validity, CVV card code and others at a specified internet address.
