Sofix index up 4 percent in August as BSE turnover rises

The Bulgarian Stock Exchange’s main index, SOFIX, rose by 4.0% in August, ending the month at 1,081.60 points. This performance increased its year-to-date growth to 21.16%.

Between January and August 2025, the BSE reported a turnover of BGN 698 million (EUR 357 million), which is a rise of nearly 10% compared to the same period last year. The number of transactions during these eight months reached 55,285, reflecting a slight decrease of just over one percent from the previous year.
