Sofix index rises over 16 percent since start of year

The SOFIX index, which tracks blue-chip stocks on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), rose by 16.50% since the start of the year and gained 1.44% in July, closing the month at 1,040.03 points. The BSE reported a total turnover of BGN 150.74 million (EUR 77.07 million) for July, reflecting a monthly increase of 20.65%. The number of trades conducted during the month reached 8,175, up by 4.05% compared to June.
