The Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) has been recognized at the InOrbit Awards 2024 for its exceptional work in digital marketing, particularly through its Instagram profile, Feel Slovenia. This accolade highlights STB’s efforts to promote Slovenia as a tourist destination via social media. The award ceremony took place on April 10 in Portorož.

The international jury praised the Feel Slovenia Instagram profile for its organic communication strategy and effectiveness in showcasing Slovenia’s attractions. It was also a finalist in the category of best use of organic reach on social media. Instagram’s vast user base provides Slovenia with an opportunity to present itself attractively and authentically.

STB emphasizes building strong relationships with followers through organic communication on social media. The board maintains an agile communication strategy, focusing on diverse themes to engage audiences. Connectivity across STB’s platforms, including websites like www.slovenia.info and www.tasteslovenia.si, is central to delivering engaging content.

Feel Slovenia is a collaborative project between STB and artist Nina Kurnik. It aims to foster interaction with over 264,000 followers, 80% of whom are from abroad. Most followers are aged between 25 and 44 years old, indicating significant travel interest.

Nina Colarić Cvirn, Head of Social Media at STB, stated: “The strategic and creative construction of the Feel Slovenia channel is a complex and extensive project, requiring an agile approach while ensuring visual and content consistency and adhering to a clearly defined editorial policy.”

The recognition from the InOrbit Awards confirms that STB’s social media strategies are effective in promoting Slovenia globally.
