Andrea Maffezzoni will take over as
UniCredit Group’s head of strategy and mergers and acquisitions on April 1,
following a long career with the group that began in 1998.
Maffezzoni is currently serving as head of
business development and strategic partnerships and has held numerous roles in
the group since over the past 19 years. In his new role, he will assist in
defining, developing and implementing UniCredit Group’s strategy
“I look forward to working in his new
role with Andrea Maffezzoni whose contributions to the implementation of the
capital strengthening measures of the strategic plan were very valuable,” UniCredit Group CEO Jean Pierre Mustier said in a press release. “Andrea’s appointment underpins the
strength and quality of UniCredit’s internal talent pool which we intend to
grow and develop further to ensure the successful future of the group.”
As head of strategy and mergers and
acquisitions, Maffezzoni will report to Mustier.
