Ljubljana Airport will begin its winter flight schedule on October 26, 2025, offering connections to 21 destinations through 18 airlines. The schedule, which runs until March 28, 2026, includes three new destinations: Las Palmas (Gran Canaria), Manchester, and Barcelona. This expansion comes as the airport reports ongoing growth in passenger numbers.

The airport has strengthened its connectivity compared to the previous winter, with several airlines maintaining higher frequencies from the summer season. AirBaltic will introduce flights to Gran Canaria, while easyJet will add Manchester to its network alongside London. Vueling will launch direct flights to Barcelona from mid-November. Air Dolomiti will operate flights to Munich, taking over from Lufthansa.

Other destinations and frequencies include Athens (Aegean Airlines, up to twice weekly), Riga and Las Palmas (airBaltic), Podgorica (Air Montenegro), Paris (Air France), Belgrade and Niš (Air Serbia), Brussels (Brussels Airlines), London Gatwick and Manchester (easyJet), Dubai (flydubai), Pristina (GP Aviation), Amsterdam (KLM Royal Dutch Airlines), Warsaw (LOT Polish Airlines), Frankfurt (Lufthansa), Munich (Air Dolomiti), Luxembourg (Luxair), Zürich (SWISS Airlines), Istanbul (Turkish Airlines), Barcelona (Vueling), and Skopje (Wizz Air). A full schedule is available on the airport’s website.

Charter flights during the winter will also offer passengers a range of destinations, including Rovaniemi in Finland, as well as locations in Italy, Portugal, Spain, Iceland, Turkey, the Netherlands, Malta, Egypt, and Jordan.

Dr. Babett Stapel, Managing Director of Fraport Slovenija, stated: “The winter flight schedule at Ljubljana Airport will feature exciting new destinations that we and our passengers are eagerly anticipating – bringing Barcelona, the Canary Islands, and Manchester closer to us. Connectivity will also improve with more frequent flights compared to last year. The increasingly rich flight offering supports significant traffic growth. We are also pleased that early signals from airlines for the summer season 2026 are positive.”

In September 2025, Ljubljana Airport served over 176,000 passengers—a 13% increase from September 2024. In the first nine months of the year, passenger numbers rose by 8.6% compared to the same period last year, totaling over 1.23 million travelers. Fraport Slovenija expects passenger numbers to exceed 1.5 million by the end of the year.

Looking ahead to summer 2026, airlines have indicated plans for further expansion. Vueling will continue its Barcelona route while easyJet plans to introduce flights to Edinburgh. KLM is set to add a morning daily flight to Amsterdam. Other carriers such as Iberia, Aegean Airlines, airBaltic, Finnair, and easyJet are expected to increase their frequencies.
