Representatives of Karanovic & Nikolic recently attended the Festival of Real Estate Investments (FREI) in Montenegro.

This was the eighth FREI event. FREI has become one of the most important real-estate events in the western Balkans, according to a press release on the Karanovic & Nikolic website. The event was organized by the Montenegrin Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism.

Conference topics included policies to boost real-estate investments, especially in the hospitality industry. Some panels covered Montenegro’s potential as a good location for luxury hotels and a boost to tourism in the region.

Panelists included policy makers, municipal authorities, portfolio managers and architects, among others.

The conclusion of the conference stated that Montenegro’s luxury-destination potential will keep growing. Investments in the northern area will speed up as a highway is built between it and Podgorica. Five new ski resorts are also slated to open within three years.
