Dragan Karanovic, a founding partner at Karanovic & Nikolic, was honored with a lifetime achievement award by CEE Legal Matters.

The Serbian Market Maker award was given to Karanovic for influence and playing a key role in the Serbian legal market, according to a press release on the law firm’s website.

A gala dinner was held as part of the CEE GC Summit in Warsaw, honoring Market Makers from each CEE country.

“Having so many of the most influential, widely recognized, highly respected, and outrageously talented lawyers from across Central and Eastern Europe in one room was a special thrill,” said David Stuckey, executive editor of CEE Legal Matters. “These lawyers did not just play a passive role in the transformation of their markets — to a large extent they made that transformation happen.”

Karanovic thanked his colleagues at the event.

“I will end on one final note. Integrity. This has always been our creed at Karanovic & Nikolic. Despite the trials and tribulations along the way, and even today in our region, our integrity has led us here, to this most excellent assembly,” said Karanovic.
