The Greece Ministry of Finance recently reported that the
tax bureau seized approximately $133 million for arrears to the state in
2016.

The money comes from more than 180,000 individual taxpayers.

In statistics presented to Parliament,
the ministry showed that while more than 180,000 individuals were in arrears, the tax
bureau only conducted 11 property auctions for seized assets. Those auctions,
which included eight auctions in Athens and four auctions of primary
residences, yielded $9.01 million of the $133 million total.
