European Reliance wins first prize for corporate governance at Bravo Sustainability Awards

European Reliance recently won a top award at the 2017 Bravo Sustainability Awards in recognition of the company’s commitment to strong corporate ethics.

European Reliance won the first prize for Corporate Governance in the Enterprises, Local Authorities and the Civil Society category, according to a recent release.

“It is a great honor for European Reliance to receive the first prize for Corporate Governance, in its first nomination at the sustainable development and responsible entrepreneurship awards,” Giorgos Gkouskos, corporate social responsibility officer, who accepted the award on behalf of the company, said in the release.

According to European Reliance’s release on the Bravo Sustainability Awards, the company is dedicated to preventing fraud and fighting corruption, systematically monitoring its departments and acting decisively to combat any instances of wrongdoing. The company has several provisions to govern these efforts, including its Anti-Fraud and Anti-Money Laundering Department.

“In European Reliance, we believe that managing and fighting fraud is an issue of paramount importance that we must handle in the short and long term,” Gkouskos said. “This award suggests a concrete and moral acknowledgment of all the efforts made by our staff, to ensure solvency, excellent internal organization, transparency and business ethics across our company.”
