The European Business Awards (EBA) is sponsored by RSM. The yearlong competition is the largest of its kind in Europe, according to a press release from the EBA. More than 33,000 businesses in 34 countries entered.

Business luminaries presented trophies to 12 businesses during the ceremony. Croatian business leader Vjekoslav Majetic earned a Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in specialized robotics.

“These companies are Europe’s best,” Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards, said in the release. “They demonstrate innovation, ethics and financial success and are brilliant examples of the growth potential for European business in a competitive global marketplace. Together they are creating a better future for us all.”

“At RSM, we believe it is important to champion business excellence as successful and thriving companies are an integral force in driving growth and stimulating economies,” Stephens said. “The Ruban D’Honneur recipients and overall category winners have demonstrated extraordinary entrepreneurialism, innovation, leadership and business acumen.
