Erste Bank hosts competition for up-and-coming artists

Erste Bank is taking applications for its Erste Fragments program that awards funds to artists who are 30 years old and younger.

Erste Bank will buy the works of some artists, award a prize of $1,427.03 and provide a solo exhibition to the top artists. A scholarship is also available to students in fine arts academies in Zagreb, Rijeka, Osijek or Split.

All purchased and prize-winning creations will be on display in an exhibition at Zagreb’s Kranjcar Gallery.

The Erste Fragments competition has been running for 15 years. Many of the artists who have won previous competitions have gone on to become well-known in the Croatian art scene.

Applications for the competition or the scholarship must be sent before March 25 to Erste & Steiermarkische Bank d.d., “Erste fragmenti 13 – otkup djela,” Sektor marketinga.
