Modern advances in communication mean there are now a lot of different channels through which to contact a person or a company.

We have phone, e-mail and messaging. We have videoconferencing platforms like Google Hangouts and social media platforms like Facebook. Which one do you use to reach someone at any given time?

A Romanian company called Canvy hopes to help solve this problem.

Canvy provides a software product that helps users decide how to contact someone else in the way that’s going to be the most effective.

“We aim for quality, and we desire for our product to enable technology-based interactions that will restore meaning in our lives,” Canvy CEO and Founding Partner Horia Damian told Balkan Business Wire.

For a year, Canvy developers and other professionals have been hard at work designing this tool. Over 20 years of experience has helped the team to get started delivering this product to the world.

In Romania, there are two big positives: a vibrant tech community with skilled workers available and a startup environment that is conducive to new tech companies getting a foothold in competitive markets, Damian said.

“The startup environment becomes more and more dynamic and connected,” Damian said. “There are also support signs that encourage startup activities, coming from the government.”

In the future, Canvy is looking to do a series A round to secure investment capital. This is planned for a few months from now in the fall. Canvy also wants to expand its global market over the years to come.

Damian also spoke about how the company found its footing in a fast-paced tech market, getting into its work at the right moment, and effectively rolling out its service to the right audiences.

“Canvy answers the modern communication needs in an intuitive, dynamic way,” Damian said.
