On May 16, 2025, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) and the University of Economics – Varna formalized a partnership to enhance financial education. The agreement aims to develop highly qualified professionals in capital markets and strengthen educational cooperation between the two entities.

The collaboration will involve joint seminars, internship programs, lectures, presentations, and training sessions for students at various academic levels. Both institutions will share experience and best practices in economics and capital markets as part of BSE’s educational initiative known as BSE Advance.

“In today’s rapidly and dynamically evolving markets and economy, an innovative and analytical approach to real-world business is essential. This partnership will provide opportunities for youth development and, above all, for enhancing financial and investment literacy,” stated Assoc. Prof. Dr Manyu Moravenov, Executive Director of the BSE. He also delivered a lecture titled “Perspectives and Challenges Facing the Bulgarian Stock Exchange” during the event. Additionally, Moravenov congratulated Prof. Dr Evgeni Stanimirov on the university’s 105th anniversary.

The University of Economics – Varna is recognized as one of Bulgaria’s leading higher education institutions with strong traditions in academic training. It educates numerous Bulgarian and international students in economics, finance, and business.
