The Bulgarian Stock Exchange and the Central Depository are set to organize the Equity Day initiative for the eleventh year. This year’s event, scheduled for June 12, is supported by 26 investment intermediaries and banks.

Equity Day aims to provide individual investors with an understanding of capital market processes and allows them to trade shares without fees or commissions on that day. The initiative aligns with efforts by the Exchange, the Central Depository, and market participants to boost financial literacy and investment culture in society. It also highlights global investment opportunities, which can help individuals manage personal finances better and support business financing through capital markets.

On June 12, individual investors will have the chance to buy and sell shares on both the regulated market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange and the SME Growth Market BEAM without incurring fees or commissions from the Exchange, Central Depository, or participating intermediaries and banks. Each investor can place up to 15 orders with a maximum volume of BGN 2,000 per order or its euro equivalent based on the Bulgarian National Bank’s exchange rate.

Further details about Equity Day can be found on the BSE website under Investor Relations -> Equity Day.
