The Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) concluded 2024 with significant achievements, reporting a 24% growth in turnover and raising nearly BGN 900 million. The SOFIX index experienced a 17% annual growth, and the number of trades increased by 14% compared to the previous year.

Smart Organic became the first company to transition from the beam market to the main market. Additionally, BSE launched its EuroBridge segment, announced during Bulgaria’s first Investor Day.

The XXIV Annual Awards ceremony was opened by Deputy Minister of Finance Martin Danovski, Deputy Chairman of the Financial Supervision Commission Petar Dzhelepov, BSE Deputy Chairman Vasil Golemanski, and Executive Director Manyu Moravenov.

“Congratulations to the Bulgarian Stock Exchange for the development of the capital market in recent years and for launching the EuroBridge segment in 2024,” said Martin Danovski. He noted that this achievement allows Bulgarian companies to trade on regulated markets in both Bulgaria and Germany.

Vasil Golemanski remarked on the significance of these awards: “The traditional annual awards of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange not only recognise the best-performing investment intermediaries and companies for the 24th consecutive year but also measure the success and development of the entire capital market.”

Ms Justine Toms, an expert in online marketing and communications, was a special guest speaker at the event.

Awards were given to top-performing entities. EuroFinance AD led with highest turnover on BSE markets; Karoll AD had most trades. Wiser Technology AD raised most capital on BSE’s main market. Ivan Nonchev was recognized as a journalist contributing significantly to promoting capital markets.

Additional awards included Karoll AD’s recognition for activity on MTF BSE INTERNATIONAL and Sofia International Securities AD for working with issuers. Shelly Group AD was named most liquid issuer on premium equities segment; Doverie Unified Holding AD topped standard equities segment liquidity.

Smart Organic AD successfully transitioned from BEAM SMEs Growth Market to BSE Main Market. Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT achieved highest price growth among SOFIX index issuers.
