Banca Intesa is offering a special loan geared toward helping agricultural projects as the spring planting season nears.

The spring-sowing loan is for amounts between $854.55 and $42,727.90, repayable over 12 months. The payment process can be adjusted based on the farmer’s needs, in terms of monthly, quarterly, biannual or annual payments. The interest rates range from 6.5 to 9.5 percent per year, depending on the number of farming households that sign up for the program, as well as income and land size.

All interested farmers in Serbia may apply for the loan through June 30.

Banca Intesa first started financing agricultural projects in 2008 and has loaned more than $216.8 million since that time.
