Alpha Bank adopts wireless MasterCard payment system

Bucharest-based Alpha
Bank Romania S.A. recently announced its upgraded technology for
wireless MasterCard credit card payment transactions in a new partnership with the
MasterCard, headquartered in New York.

With contactless MasterCard Thanks and MasterCard Enter, card transactions will be much faster and easier, Alpha Bank said.

Payments can be rendered at all locations that are outfitted
with POS terminals and the appropriate payment reader, officials said.

Alpha Bank offers wholesale and retail banking products and
services to individuals and corporate customers throughout Romania, including checking and savings accounts and loans for consumer credit and house,
car and land purchases.

Founded in 1993, the company was formerly known as Banca
Bucuresti SA and changed its name to Alpha Bank Romania S.A. in
2000.
