Three beneficiaries have signed the financing contracts to receive grants from the Agriculture Governance, Growth, and Resilience (AGGRI) Project to aid in the dairy cattle industry.
The AGGRI Project, funded by the World Bank, aims to enhance the dairy cattle sector in Moldova by funding approved projects such as the construction and equipping of modern stables, the introduction of robotic technology for various farm activities, the establishment of fodder warehouses and manure storage facilities compliant with international standards, and the procurement of equipment for milk processing.
Additionally, the farmers will acquire 580 Holstein breed cattle.
During the contract signing ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vladimir Bolea, along with AGGRI Project Director Liviu Gumovschi, encouraged farmers to invest in this crucial sector to bolster agricultural development in Moldova.
The next evaluation meeting for the AGGRI Commission is scheduled for September 20, where seven new applications will be reviewed. These proposals have a total value of $12.2 million, with requested grants amounting to $5.16 million.
