A new direct flight service by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines from Amsterdam to Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport has begun, marking KLM's introduction to the Slovenian market. The inaugural flight landed at 12:05. The service establishes a direct connection between Ljubljana and Amsterdam, with airport and KLM representatives, alongside the Dutch Ambassador to Slovenia, welcoming the first passengers.
Ljubljana's connectivity to global destinations is expected to improve with KLM's new service. KLM will offer flights to 161 locations through its Amsterdam Schiphol hub. Flights from Ljubljana will be at 12:35, with Amsterdam departures scheduled for 10:15.
Dr. Babett Stapel, Managing Director of Fraport Slovenija, expressed enthusiasm over KLM's inauguration, noting it "strengthens connectivity for our passengers through Schiphol’s extensive network." She highlighted the seven weekly flights as a response to growing demand, saying, "We are confident this route will perform well and look forward to a strong partnership. KLM, welcome to Slovenia.”

The 100-passenger Embraer 190 aircraft completed the journey comfortably and punctually in 110 minutes.
