On March 30, Burgas Airport began the 2025 tourist season by welcoming the first group of tourists with a ceremony attended by media representatives. A Ryanair flight from Krakow, Poland, with 183 passengers, was received with a water salute and festive decorations. Each traveler was given a gift of Bulgarian lavender oil, aiming to symbolize the hospitality of the country.
Ryanair plans to operate flights from Burgas Airport to 10 destinations this season. The flight routes include Warsaw-Modlin and London-Luton, with Vienna flights starting in May. Starting in June, travelers will have options to fly to Dublin, Budapest, Bratislava, Poznan, Gdansk, and Kaunas.
This summer, Burgas Airport will manage flights to over 70 destinations across more than 20 countries. A projected increase in passenger traffic is expected, particularly from regions such as Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
Burgas Airport underwent recent enhancements, including the rehabilitation of 1,000 square meters of the runway and approximately 4,250 square meters of the taxiway.
