The Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria, in collaboration with Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD, the Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance, Hotel International, and Win Travel, organized a roadshow in Dubai. The event attracted nearly 100 travel agents from the UAE, the Near East, and the Middle East.

His Excellency Mr. Ivan Jordanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Arab Emirates, opened the event with a welcome speech. He highlighted its significance for enhancing bilateral tourism relations between Bulgaria and the UAE.

Dr. Frank Quante, CEO of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD, along with Ms. Radostina Zlateva, Senior Route Development Expert at the company, presented on Bulgaria's diverse offerings. They emphasized opportunities ranging from nature experiences and a favorable climate to SPA tourism and golf activities.

A key announcement was made regarding a new direct flight route from Abu Dhabi to Varna. This service will be operated by Wizz Air starting March 31 and will run three times a week.

The roadshow included individual B2B meetings aimed at fostering partnerships and idea exchanges among participants. The day concluded with a gala dinner featuring live music and videos showcasing Bulgarian destinations.

The event featured strong participation from Bulgarian organizations in the tourism sector including hoteliers, tour operators, representatives of the Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance, and government officials such as Mr. Stanislav Dimitrov and Mr. Valentin Stoev.

Following this successful roadshow, plans are underway for a familiarization trip for leading travel agencies to explore Northern Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast.
