Bucharest, November 21, 2024: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) organized the Romania – Poland Business Forum on November 21. The event was supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Poland.

The forum coincided with a Polish economic mission to Romania. It was led by Adam Sobieszkoda, Executive Director of the Poland – Romania Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Katarzyna Kaniewska, Project Manager within the External Relations Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Poland.

The gathering included Romanian entrepreneurs and representatives from Polish companies across various sectors such as electrical and electronic equipment production, thermal installations, IT&C services, fintech services, and the food industry.

"We are confident that today’s event will provide both Romanian and Polish companies with an opportunity to develop strong partnerships and identify new business opportunities," said Ovidiu Silaghi, Secretary General of the CCIR. He highlighted that "the year 2024 is a very important one for Romanian-Polish diplomatic relations," marking significant anniversaries in their diplomatic history. Silaghi also noted Poland's importance as one of Romania’s key business partners in the region.

Adam Sobieszkoda remarked on the strong ties between Poland and Romania: "Both countries are important partners in Central and Eastern Europe," emphasizing their collaboration due to EU membership and geographical proximity. He added that "the Polish companies present at the event today operate in different economic sectors" with interest in collaborating directly with Romanian entrepreneurs.
