Nineteen companies have been selected to participate in the fifth year of the beamUp lab program, which supports the growth of small and midsized enterprises. Traditionally, about half of these companies are from the technology sector. However, for 2025, there will be a diverse range of participants including manufacturers and traders of cosmetics, organic products, honey and nutritional supplements, biodegradable film and acoustic products for offices, as well as a fashion brand whose clothing has appeared in major Hollywood films.
The program has seen significant success with approximately 40% of participating companies completing at least one round of venture financing. Additionally, around one-third have achieved annual revenues exceeding BGN 5 million. In 2023 alone, 16 companies reported an average revenue growth of over 30%.
During a ceremony on November 7th, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange along with partners BALII, the Bulgarian Development Bank, the Fund of Funds and BESCO - the Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Association - presented the annual beamUp lab awards.
The manufacturer Healthy Bars received the "Super Star" award for overall achievements in its field. SWIPE was awarded "Moon for Investors" for impressing investors with its work in purchasing and renovating used smartphones.
