Bulgaria Air recently hosted an Open Day event, attracting numerous young individuals interested in aviation careers. The event took place on September 30 and was part of the national carrier's efforts to present career development opportunities.
Commander Rositsa Ivanova, a pilot with Bulgaria Air, and Dana Prikhova, senior flight attendant and cabin crew director at the airline, shared insights into their professions during an interview with BTA. They advised aspiring pilots and cabin crew members to remain strong, motivated, and committed to their dreams.
"I am delighted with the turnout of all the aspiring pilots and future cabin crew who came to the Open Day. Over the last year Bulgaria Air has been renewing its fleet of aircraft. This is the reason why we are looking for new people to join our team. New young and motivated pilots and cabin crew to be part of our team and work together," Commander Ivanova said regarding her interaction with prospective pilots.
Commander Ivanova described a pilot's day at the airline as having "the most beautiful view" which includes sights like sunrises, sunsets, snow-capped mountains, and stars at night.
Dana Prikhova spoke about the dynamic nature of working as cabin crew: "A cabin crew day goes by incredibly dynamic, exciting, fast, with lots of socializing and people smiling. Sometimes it is not so predictable, but that is part of the charm of the profession."
Prikhova also highlighted Bulgaria Air's continuous search for "young, motivated, ambitious people" eager to join their staff. She noted that potential recruits often have abstract questions about job specifics such as working hours, rest periods, licensing processes, requirements, and benefits.
