Bank of Greece issued the following announcement on Mar. 09.
The Bank of Greece announces that, subject to any measures of a more general nature that may be announced by the government, the Annual Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders will take place as scheduled on 20 March 2020.
However, with a view to protecting the health of all participants in the General Meeting, and by extension of the public at large, it is deemed necessary to take extra precautions, as well as measures to shorten the participants’ stay in a crowded closed space.
Against this background and based on the information currently available, apart from enhanced hygiene measures, the following precautions will be taken during the upcoming Ordinary General Meeting on 20 March 2020:
- Departing from standard practice, the Annual Report will not be read out, but will still be published as usual.
- There will be no speeches by representatives of institutional bodies, industry and other stakeholders.
- Unless otherwise decided by the Chair and the assembly, shareholder interventions on agenda items will be in writing, rather than oral, and will be communicated in the course of the meeting.
