The National Bank of Romania will offer a series of coins to commemorate the country’s entry into the European Union.
The coins will include a set of three coins in gold, silver and copper-plated tombac and two brass coins, one a collector coin and the other for circulation.
The obverse of all of the coins will feature details from the Brâncovenesc architectural style, including an arch inscribed with “Romania.” The coins will also feature their face value and the year of issue, 2017. The brass commemorative collector coin will also feature a small “N” on the base of the first column to denote its collector status.
The reverse of the coins will feature the Member States of the European Union, with the inscription: “10 Ani De La Aderarea La Uniunea Europeană”
The National Bank plans to mint 150 sets of the gold, silver and copper-plated tombac coins, to be sold at $519.46.
