In a continuation of Vojvodjanska Bank’s "Responsibility in Culture" project, the bank’s Caravan of Paintings recently traveled through Kragujevac and is headed to Cacak.
The project is run in conjunction with the Gallery of Matica Srpska and is an endeavor to make the bank’s art collection available to art lovers throughout Serbia, as well as promote the country’s gallery culture, according to a press release. Started a year ago as the bank was cataloging its 600-piece collection, the "Responsibility in Culture" project saw selected pieces presented in Novi Sad and Belgrade.
Part of the exhibition is now finding a wider audience through Vojvodjanska Bank’s Caravan of Paintings, which is sending works from prominent 20th century Vojvodina painters throughout the country, including pieces from Sava Stojkov, Milan Kečić, Milan Kerac, Pavle Blesić and Boško Petrović.
During the caravan’s stop in Kragujevac, art lovers were able to view the works in the city’s Vojvodjanska Bank branch. The caravan will travel to Cacak, Apatin, Zrenjanin and Subotica.
