Businesses registering with the Romanian National Trade Register Office (ONRC) will now have easier access to information about capital markets opportunities due to an agreement between the ONRC, the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) and Prime Transaction, a brokerage company.
Through the agreement, the BVB will maintain an informative stand at the ONRC, which sees 2,000 business and entrepreneurial visitors on a typical day. The stand will also help them to learn about the financing and investing opportunities available on the BVB, according to a press release. The ONRC information stand is manned on a day-to-day basis by representatives from Prime Transactions.
“We believe that this cooperation with the National Trade Register Office creates new chances to be closer the financial intermediaries to entrepreneurs,” BVB CEO Ludwik Sobolewski said in the release.
The project is currently in its pilot stage and focusing solely on Bucharest but is designed for later expansion. It is a joint effort to promote growth in Romania’s economy and develop the local ecosystem, a goal BVB has been dedicated to for the past three years.
“We recognize that this approach meets the business environment by promoting a field with potential not yet exploited in Romania,” Valentina Burdescu, ONRC general manager, said.
