A company called Valoso Hub wants to change the game in tech outsourcing.
This software development company started out in Australia in 2015 but now maintains a primary office in Macedonia. It also has offices in six other countries, including New Zealand and the United States.
Promoting transparency and face-to-face meetings, Valoso Hub offers different types of services such as mobile and web design, working with popular languages like PHP and Java.
Valoso Hub co-founder Bobby Lin spoke to Balkan Business Wire about how far the company has come.
“We are globally based,” Lin said, citing increased presence in Delaware and New York, as well as San Francisco.
Valoso Hub handles a diverse group of clients, helping to fill in the gaps in IT architectures and strategies.
“We work with banks, we work with startups … a range of clients,” Lin said.
As for the Macedonia office, Lin said the government of the country is really trying to promote entrepreneurial growth and a growing tech industry.
“I think they're in a mindset to really prove themselves on a global level,” Lin said, adding that he feels Macedonia is overlooked in terms of its tech community and good environment for business. Workers with good English and a vibrant tech community, he said, help companies like Valoso Hub to grow.
As for the company's U.S. expansion, Lin said it will enable Valoso Hub to serve stateside clients better, with a better vantage point from which to handle time zones and other operational issues, in addition to just being geographically closer to a client.
“It's going to be an extension of their own offices,” Lin said. “It will help us keep up the relationships with our clients.”
As for funding, Lin said existing revenue largely powers the company, but Valoso Hub could reach out to angel investors as they expand into additional countries like Serbia and Ukraine.
