The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) and the
Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) kicked off Global Money Week,
which runs through Friday, with an official opening of the trading session
recognizing the awareness celebration.
Organized by Child & Youth Finance
International (CYFI), Global Money week targets young people and works to
improve their financial knowledge. Through fun and interactive events, youth learn about money, saving, creating livelihoods, employment
strategies and entrepreneurial considerations.
With communitywide activities organized by
groups like schools, universities, government ministries,
financial institutions and civil and youth societies, Global Money Week helps building financial awareness, challenging antiquated or obsolete
financial policies and providing young people with the means to control their
financial futures, including knowledge and inspiration.
The BVB Global Money Week opening of the
trading session on March 27 was one of several local events in Bucharest to
celebrate the initiative. BVB ran the event in cooperation with the ASF and the
FERM Association.
