Banca Intesa is leading the housing loans segment with a 23 percent market share in
2016, a year that saw significant increases in the amount and number of loans
offered by the bank, according to a company release.
In 2016, Banca Intesa recorded a 40 percent
year-on-year increase in loans insured by the National Mortgage Insurance
Corp. (NKSOK). In 2015, the bank approved $45.66 million in housing
loans insured by NKSOK, while last year that figure increased to $65.7 million. This amounts to 1,047 loans approved in 2015 and 1,487 in
2016.
Banca Intesa offers fixed and variable
interest rate housing loans, and Serbian citizens are not subject to the fee for early
loan repayment from their own funds, annual loan maintenance fees or life insurance requirements.
Fixed annual interest rate loans are
available from 3.29 percent and bear fixed monthly installments for a repayment
period of up to 15 years. Variable annual interest rates currently begin at
2.57 percent (representing 2.79 percent plus the six-month EURIBOR) for loans
with a repayment period of up to 15 years. These are the most popular
EUR-indexed home loans within that repayment period.

loans from 2.68 percent (2.90 percent plus the six-month EURIBOR) for loans
with repayment periods from 15 years to 30 years.
