Gorenje Group, a home appliances manufacturer based in
Slovenia, recently highlighted its growth over the past year, which includes an
estimated revenue figure of $1.35 billion, a 2.6 percent increase on last
year.
The company attributes last year’s success to its strategic plan,
which includes measures such as increased investment in marketing and development,
optimized management of raw, and processed materials and more efficient
logistics that allowed Gorenje Group to decrease costs while reaping more
revenue. The company also credited consolidation of products and sales in key
markets, and promotion of premium, innovative appliances and small domestic appliances for its success.
Gorenje Group estimates that its operating profit for 2016
will be $41.4 million and that its net profit will be $8.56 million. Of its
$1.35 billion in revenue, the home business segment represents $1.17 billion, a 3.3 percent increase from 2015 figures. Premium appliances were 27.4
percent of the company’s total major domestic appliance sales, with dishwasher
sales rising by 20 percent and small domestic appliances by 33 percent.
This year represents the second under the company’s new
strategic period, and Gorenje Group expects to see its revenue growth rate
