Greece recently reported two violations of its national airspace by three Turkish aircraft, which took place above the Aegean Sea.
According to Greece, the three aircraft, which were armed and flying alone, moved into Greek airspace. No jams occurred; and Greece’s response, including intercepting and identifying the aircraft, was in line with international standards.
While in Greek airspace, the Turkish aircraft apparently also violated four traffic rules of the Athens FIR.
