Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic attended the fundraiser, which is supported by President Milorad Dodik.
While the president and his office have provided Bosnian Convertible Marka (BAM) 700,000 for the center to prevent developmental difficulties in children, an additional BAM 600,000 is needed for its construction. The government also allocated BAM 50,000 for the center. The event was the seventh fundraiser organized by the president to raise funds.
In her remarks, Cvijanovic stressed the support of the president and his office for this and other worthy causes that benefit the citizens of the Republic of Srpska. She expressed her own support for the center and confidence in the successful completion of the project, as well.
"Another important dimension is the institutional aspect of the whole campaign which moves all citizens of the Republic of Srpska to show solidarity and participate," Cvijanovic said. "It is important to show our good face and solidarity with the people who need help. It is good to build this kind of approach and the principle that we are all equal."
