UniCredit recently finalized its sale of a 32.8 percent shareholding in Bank Pekao S.A., which went to Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń S.A. and Polski Fundusz Rozwoju S.A. for a total sum of $2.8 billion, according to a UniCredit release.
The UniCredit board of directors recently approved the UniCredit S.p.A. Provisional Financial Statements and the Consolidated Financial Statements as of Dec. 31 and said that its CET1 transitional ratio is within European Central Bank (ECB) requirements.
Following the completion of the rights issues transaction that was approved by the UniCredit S.p.A. board of directors in early February, the company recently released the new composition of its share capital.
UniCredit recently reached an agreement with the Italian trade unions over its Transform 2019 plan, which includes 3,900 full-time equivalent redundancies, following similar negotiations with trade unions in Germany and Austria.
